Louis Vuitton Neverfull

Last weekend I purchased my Neverfull MM from the Louis Vuitton store in Green Hills. I had already gone a few weeks ago to see the different bags which helped me decide which one to purchase.

A few tips that I highly recommend for buying a LV. 1. Research- I did heavy researching on the neverfull. As you may know, they just slightly changed the style and added the clutch (which raised the price). I watched YouTube reviews on interior color, sizing, and durability. I decided to purchase the MM. The GM is great for travel but the MM seems more suitable for me in everyday use. I also ordered a purse bling organizer insert to help protect the inside lining. 2. Making an investment (yes, investment) in a LV is a big purchase so be sure that this is what you want.  I had a hard time deciding between the Alma PM in damier ebene or the neverfull but decided on the neverfull because I know I will use it more. 3. Lastly, try on the bag in the store and make sure you like the way it looks on you. To me, the monogram print is great year-round. The damier ebene is great for fall-winter and the damier azur is perfect for spring-summer. I chose the monogram again as it is iconic, but if I were to get another bag I would go with one of the damier prints.

My mom gave me a speedy 25 when I was 18, and it is still in really great condition. These purses last for years and that is why so many vintage LVs are on the market and sell for more than new LVs.

The brand is amazing and has great heritage as well as the product. The customer service is also top notch. My main recommendation is to make sure you really like the brand and research which bag and which size best suits your needs.

On a side note, my husband surprised me with a multicolor card holder yesterday as a pre-birthday gift!! I am so sad to see the multicolor be discontinued, but am sure LV will have another great line come in place of this.
thanks for stopping by!

Updating an Outdated Kitchen & Unique Home Decor

Adore this antique sideboard, it was my Great-Great Grandmothers

Blue cake plate, polka dot plate, floral serving platter-Hot Pink
Tea cups, Lenox tea pot- Homegood Store
Kitty, pearls in clear vase-antique
Chicken-My Great-Great Grandmother made these in the early 1900's (bread warmers) and sold them. I feel so lucky to have one.

It has been awhile since I have last made a post. Sean and I are now married and back to our regular daily schedules. Work has been so busy lately, and by the time I get home I am cleaning, organizing, and running around like a crazy lady.

Throughout the year I have made several changes to our home. The house was outdated in certain areas and we will be living here for at least another year or two until we find the perfect home. For now, this house is the right size for just two people.

Updating the kitchen and dining room... When I moved in to the house, it looked like a typical bachelor pad. Outdated paint, vinyl flooring in the kitchen, mis-matched plates (men just don't care lol). So, when a room is outdated, the first and cheapest thing to update is the paint!

The dining area was a light "sea foam" green. When I think of "sea foam" green, I picture the frothy stuff on top of melted sherbert (yuck). It gave it a "90s" feel. So, I painted it a light olive color. Olive is a neutral that will blend with any color palette.

The kitchen walls were the wood colored paneling. You know, the thick heavy duty wood paneling that was popular in the 60s. We did not want to tear this down and hang dry wall, so I primed the wood, and painted it an off-white (in the first photo) that compliments the dining room olive paint.
This brightened the room and opened it up SO much.

Flooring-The dining room and kitchen floors were old vinyl plastic. The rest of the house has wood flooring so we had wood put down in this area also. Flooring makes a huge difference. This was one of my favorite changes to this part of the house.

Favorite Décor- I must say I have been so lucky to have such beautiful/historical pieces of furniture passed down to me. I love antiques and they also make great statement pieces in a home.

My tablecloth is one of my favorite things in my dining room. I purchased it from Hot Pink in Brentwood. It was a little pricey, but it is one-of-a-kind and will last forever. My mom and I have an addiction to tea towels and change them up constantly. We both purchased matching tea towels from Hot Pink and they are so suiting! The last two pieces that are my favorite are the floral platter, and blue cake plate (also from Hot Pink).

If you are looking for more cost-friendly décor, I recommend the Home Good store. Anyone that works close to me knows that is one of my favorite stopping points after work (5 mins away on Franklin Road-including Hot Pink!). The circle rug above was only $30! Such a steal!

Wedding Shoe Search

Hello again. It has been quite awhile since I have been able to blog. Life is very crazy right now. The wedding is 6 WEEKS away! I cannot believe. Today, I have been on the search for the perfect wedding shoe. One thing that most brides forget when picking out their shoes is you will be on your feet a long time. Pick something that is bearable so you are not walking around bare-foot mid wedding. I searched awhile and found four of my top favorite shoes for brides.

Flats: These are perfect for a bride who isn't worried about adding height, and is all about comfort. This would be me. I could not imagine wearing heels all night. Your feet will be comfortable. I mean honestly, who wants to worry about sore feet at their wedding? Not I!

Mid-Heel: Mid heel is very "in" this season. This is also for the non-heel wearing people out there. It adds a little height, while giving the safety of not breaking our necks :-) These shoes are absolutely adorable with a sparkle encrusted bow. If you do want to 'kick off your heels' mid-dance, these are perfect for that!

Pumps: Ok you pump people, these are my favorite (if I were to wear a tall shoe). They are super chic, and have a sleek design with a gorgeous embellishment on the toe.

Something Blue: If you are looking for that 'something blue', these Kate Spade lovelies will be a perfect standout piece. I absolutely love these, AND they're mid-heel so it's a perfect compromise for both worlds! Decisions decisions....

Now it is back to wedding planning, and finishing the final touches. I hope everyone is having a great spring so far. Thanks for reading :-)

Striped with Flare

Tank: Rock & Republic Cardigan: Ann Taylor, similar  Skirt: J Crew Factory

Purse: Michael Kors, Similar Sunglasses: Tory Burch, Similar

Yesterday I spent the day my sweet nephew, Gage. We went to "Mimi and Bobos" house (my mom and step-dad Bob) and spent the day there. I love every second I get to spend with this little man.
I had a meeting with our florist for the wedding, so almost everything is planned minus the DJ and ceremony music.
Afterwards, we stopped by the J Crew outlet at Opry Mills and I found some great new items I can't wait to show you! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Flapperesque Floral

This weather this weekend was so gorgeous. I broke out my white pants today... Who cares if it's before Memorial Day ;-) Sean and I took his Model A out for a cruise and enjoyed the warmth while it lasts.
Friday night I had a Girls Night Out party at Sister Kates of Spring Hill and invited friends and family. We all had a really fun time while shopping! The pic below is a snapshot from that night. I found this adorable floral top with fringe. They have so many great items for Spring. Don't forget you can call and place orders over the phone if you can't make it to the store! :-)

Makeup Finds: Too Faced, Urban Decay, and Loreal

Ok, so it's no surprise that I like makeup... well, LOVE makeup. So I am always looking for a good quality makeup to test. When it comes to foundation I stick to what I know works for me, which is the Bare Minerals Pressed Powder

I recently was running low on eye shadow so I stopped by Sephora and picked up this Too Faced eye pallet. It has been one of the best products I have purchased. Not only do you get nine different shadows in this pallet, but it is also a great price for what you get, and you can play around and mix them together. I DO splurge on eye shadow.

As I was waiting in the check out line, you know the impulse shopping section, I spotted the Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray, and being that I am an impulse shopper at times, I made the purchase! So for the review: I highly recommend this. After you apply your makeup, you spray the product on your face. It is a light mist, and you cannot even tell it is there! This. stuff. works.

My last item, my non-splurge item, is Loreal Gel Eyeliner. This eyeliner works wonders and stays on all day, and most important it isn't smudging by the end of the day. A great purchase. I really like Loreal products and use their mascara as well.

So I have been using these three products for around 4 weeks now and highly recommend. My makeup tip of the day is never match your eye shadow to your clothing, always match your eye shadow to you!

Thanks for reading!

Florals and Orange: A Perfect Sunday Outfit

Tunic: BobbySue Boutique (via Jane.com) Leggings: Elysian, Similar
Necklace: BrinaBox Midi Ring: F21 Sunglasses: Tory Burch-Similar Shoes: JCrew

The weekend really does go by too fast! I decided to go bug Sean at work today, and had him take a few pictures! He is very cooperative. He told me my outfit was "wild". I prefer "fun and comfortable". Today I was on-the-go cleaning, grocery shopping, running errands so I threw this on and headed out. I have been in search for orange floral leggings, and just happened to come across these online. They are high-waisted with a zipper, so they are super comfortable and flattering. I found this tunic on Jane.com for a great deal. If you have never shopped this website, you should definitely give it a look.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, and is enjoying this beautiful weather. I will definitely be wearing some of my spring attire this week.
